The South Tyneside New Music Collective (STNMC) is a group of likeminded people, organisations and businesses, with the aim of trying to improve the infrastructure and opportunities available for people in the borough who are making original music.
Over the last 15-20 years I’ve worked with countless local musicians of all ages and backgrounds, making their own music and telling their own stories, but I find it such a shame that our local talent usually has to leave the borough to find opportunities to make their voices heard. I regularly find myself having the same conversation with artists, who struggle to find original gigs and support.
Which is hopefully where we come in.
